Learning and Development Coordinator– Full time
(Temp 12-18 months)
As a key member of the United Active Living team, the Learning and Development Coordinator will report directly to the Director People & Culture and will be responsible for advancing the training and development programs for all employees. You will ensure that all employees have access to United’s mandatory education, enhanced education specific to their role or the business practices of United and will work with managers to ensure that employee records and additional training is completed.
Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- As part of the People & Culture team the Training and Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordination and delivery of the United Active Living scheduled orientation to ensure all new employees receive training.
- Collaborates with the Leadership team to ensure the topics and content presented to employees are focused on United’s vision, philosophy and mandatory education requirement.
- Develops and communicated an annual in community plan which addresses all mandatory and requested training.
- Presents educational topics using face-to-face, self study, online and internal resources for all employees to best suit all learning needs.
- Maintain and develops United’s online learning platform.
- Works with department leaders on specific training requirements and documentation such as CPR, Food Safe and ProServe.
- Evaluated the effectiveness of the Learning and Development Program to identify and fill any education gaps.
- Works closely with the Director People & Culture to design and implement United’s leadership development program.
- Other special programs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree in Adult education, Human Resources of equivalent education preferred
- Effective time management abilities combined with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Results driven project management skills
- Trustworthy and have the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality in maintaining business dealings and confidential matters.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external parties and lead with credibility, integrity and trust while achieving results and fostering a positive team culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the field of aging an asset.
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of sitting and screen time;
- This is an in-office role on our corporate team with some requirement to travel to community
- Extended periods of standing during educational facilitation
