Homestead Marketplace is looking for a motivated and reliable team member to perform general cleaning and property maintenance duties to help keep our stores, and site, looking their best. This is a permanent, full-time position from Monday to Friday.
Your responsibilities in this role:
- Perform daily cleaning of interior spaces including entrances, hallways, washrooms, staff areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; dust surfaces and fixtures; clean windows and glass doors; empty and replace garbage and recycling bins.
- Restock washroom and cleaning supplies and report low stock or maintenance issues to management.
- Maintain outdoor areas by picking up litter, sweeping walkways, and keeping entrances, smoking areas, and parking areas clean and presentable.
- Assist with seasonal work such as basic lawn and garden care.
- Support events such as markets, car shows, bike nights, and other gatherings by setting up and taking down tables, chairs, tents, signage, garbage stations, and décor, and keeping event areas clean before, during, and after.
- Use cleaning equipment and basic tools safely, complete simple maintenance tasks (such as minor touch-ups or small fixes).
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning products and use of personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in cleaning, janitorial work, property maintenance, or a similar hands-on role.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, using ladders, and pushing/pulling carts and equipment.
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision once priorities are set.
- Positive attitude, good communication skills, and a professional approach when interacting with guests, tenants, and team members.
- Experience with snow removal, grounds work, or event support is an asset but not required.
- WHMIS training is an asset
- A level of mathematical skills sufficient to perform calculations such as cleaning fluids ratios
- A positive attitude and the ability to take initiative

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
