Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant to provide excellent customer service and ensure smooth operations at our convenience store and fueling station. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily tasks such as cashiering, assisting customers, maintaining the cleanliness of the station, and handling transactions efficiently. 3+ years of experience in retail sales or customer service are highly valued to enhance the customer experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment. This is a night shift opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling, purchases, and inquiries
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of the station, including pumps, store area, and restrooms
- Manage inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
- Upsell products and promote promotional items to increase sales
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy and integrity
- Provide information about products, services, and promotions to customers
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies
- Assist in merchandising displays to attract customer attention
- Maintain organized work areas to facilitate efficient service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Multilingual abilities or bilingual proficiency (e.g., English and Spanish) are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment
- Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with product demos or technical sales is advantageous but not required
