About the Role
Long Beach Resort is a premier beachfront destination on Lake Erie, featuring fully renovated cottages and luxury townhouse suites. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Cleaning & Housekeeping Manager to lead our dedicated housekeeping department.
This is an active, working management position. The ideal candidate is a cleaning professional who is ready to lead by example, working on the floor alongside the team to maintain our immaculate standards, while also executing the administrative duties required to keep the department running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Active Housekeeping: Work hands-on to clean, sanitize, and turn over resort units, ensuring every room meets our luxury standards prior to guest check-in.
- Team Leadership & Staff Scheduling: Take full responsibility for managing and creating weekly schedules for all housekeeping staff, coordinate daily room assignments, and ensure optimal staff coverage during peak season.
- Onboarding & Training: Lead the hiring and onboarding process for new housekeeping staff, providing comprehensive training on resort cleaning protocols, safety, and efficiency.
- Laundry Operations: Fully manage and operate the in-house laundry and dryer facilities to ensure a constant, organized supply of fresh linens and towels for the entire property.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections of all units and common areas to guarantee strict cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met.
Requirements
- Proven experience in professional housekeeping, commercial cleaning, or hospitality.
- Previous supervisory or management experience, specifically with scheduling and training staff preferred.
- Strong physical stamina to handle the demands of active cleaning shifts.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage laundry flow and fast-paced room turnovers.
- A highly reliable work ethic and strong attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation to our Wainfleet location.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
