Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate a diverse range of menu items with precision and flair
- Follow established recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations
- Handle food ingredients with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and waste management
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service during busy hours
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Proven culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment, including fine dining or restaurant settings
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety protocols
- Experience in menu planning and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
- Skilled in knife skills, food presentation, and portion control
- Background working within the food industry with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary requirements
- Previous experience in catering or food service environments is highly desirable
