Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to join a global cloud engineering team supporting a leading financial institution. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Americas region while collaborating with global teams in Montreal and Paris to design, automate, and enhance a secure enterprise Azure cloud platform.
This is a hands-on architecture role focused on Azure infrastructure, automation, platform engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, and production support within a highly regulated financial environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evolve enterprise cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Architect secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Automate cloud provisioning using Terraform, Bicep, and scripting.
- Develop automation tools using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Support production environments and resolve cloud platform incidents.
- Create reusable infrastructure templates and code samples.
- Develop cloud monitoring, resiliency, and cost optimization solutions.
- Partner with engineering teams to drive Azure adoption and best practices.
- Collaborate with global cloud teams across North America and Europe.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or Bicep.
- Strong scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience supporting production cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud security within regulated financial environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- FinOps and cloud cost optimization
- Ansible, Packer, or Chocolatey
- High availability and disaster recovery experience
- English/French bilingual skills are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, DEC, or equivalent technical experience/certifications
