Overview
As a Tour Guide / Driver, you will lead and assist guests visiting Moraine Lake and Lake Louise while delivering a fun, informative, and memorable experience.
You will be responsible for safely transporting guests, providing commentary and local insights, assisting with logistics, and representing Cool Banff in a professional and positive manner.
This is an outdoor, guest-facing role that requires strong communication skills, confidence leading groups, and the ability to adapt to changing weather and operational conditions.
We use a performance-based compensation structure that rewards exceptional team members through gratuities, bonuses, and commission opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Safely transport guests to and from Moraine Lake and Lake Louise.
- Lead groups in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.
- Share information about the Rockies, local history, wildlife, and surrounding attractions.
- Provide excellent customer service and create memorable guest experiences.
- Assist guests with boarding, scheduling, directions, and general travel questions.
- Adapt tours and operations based on weather, traffic, and guest needs.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
- Represent Cool Banff with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities.
- Confident speaking in front of groups.
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service oriented.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying mountain weather conditions.
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and assist guests throughout shifts.
- Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and peak tourism periods.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Preference given to candidates living in Canmore or nearby areas.
License / Certification Requirements
- Valid Class 4 commercial driver’s license (minimum requirement).
- Clean driving record preferred.
- First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
Pay: $26.25-$40.00 per hour
