Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Laborer to join our dynamic team specializing in roofing, siding, soffit & fascia installation, and related exterior construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, contribute to high-quality building finishes, and develop valuable skills in various trades. Duties
- Assist with the installation of roofing systems, siding, soffit, fascia, and other exterior building components using hand tools and power tools.
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, measuring materials, and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely.
- Support carpenters and other tradespeople with framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and basic masonry tasks as needed.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, siding panels, metal components, and concrete forms to ensure efficient workflow.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate installation of materials.
- Perform maintenance on tools and equipment; operate power tools safely according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working on construction sites; report hazards or incidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Prior construction site experience or hands-on work in roofing, siding, or general construction is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and basic blueprint reading.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, schematics interpretation, and fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Experience with caulking, tile laying, restoration work, framing carpentry, plumbing basics, masonry or welding is advantageous.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail; reliable team player committed to safety standards.
- Basic handyman skills or experience in remodeling projects will be considered a valuable asset.
