Mon Repos Day Spa is a fast-growing, results-driven day spa serving Northern Nova Scotia. We are passionate about helping our clients look and feel their best through highly personalized care, exceptional customer service, and results-oriented treatments.
We are currently seeking an Aesthetician and/or Nail Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is warm, professional, detail-oriented, motivated, and passionate about client care and the aesthetics industry.
At Mon Repos Day Spa, we focus on supporting both personal and professional growth. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training on all spa services, products, company values, and client experience standards before working independently with clients.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing professional aesthetic and/or nail services including waxing, tinting, manicures, pedicures, lash lifts, facials, and skincare treatments
- Greeting clients and delivering a welcoming, elevated spa experience
- Educating clients on appropriate home care products and treatment recommendations
- Recommending upgrades and retail products that enhance client results
- Checking clients in and out, rebooking appointments, and assisting with client communication
- Answering phones, texts, and social media inquiries professionally
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
- Assisting with laundry, cleaning, room turnover, and general spa upkeep
- Supporting fellow team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Participating in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities
- Occasionally contributing to social media content and marketing initiatives
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Current license with the Nova Scotia Cosmetology Association
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanour
- Reliable, responsible, and accountable
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Comfortable with technology and social media platforms
- Ability to recommend retail products based on client needs
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to learn and follow established systems and protocols
- Availability for some evening shifts
Preferred:
- Previous experience as an Aesthetician or Nail Technician
- First Aid and WHMIS certification
- Experience with spa environments and client care
Experience is considered an asset; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who aligns with our team culture and values.
