Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Construction Labourer to join our team. This position supports both our directional drilling crews and restoration crews on a variety of underground utility projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry. We are willing to train the right candidate and provide opportunities to advance into equipment operation, locating, and other skilled positions within the company.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting directional drilling crews with daily operations
- Site preparation and cleanup
- Restoration of lawns, driveways, and other surfaces following construction activities
- Loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment
- Operating hand tools and small equipment
- Traffic control and job site safety duties as required
- General labour and maintenance tasks
- Following all company safety procedures and industry best practices
Every project presents new challenges and opportunities, making this a rewarding, hands-on position in a fast-paced work environment.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Typical start time of 6:00 AM
- Optional weekend work available
- Some travel and out-of-town work required depending on project location
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Construction experience considered an asset but not required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Compensation
- $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
