Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical or dental office settings, possess excellent administrative skills, and be comfortable managing front desk operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and compassionate patient interaction are essential. The Medical Office Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth office operations, accurate record-keeping, and exceptional patient service.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages efficiently
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems ( ACCURO)
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing procedures
- Prepare and organize patient charts, documentation, and other administrative files
- Assist with check-in and check-out processes, including collecting Private-pays and updating patient information
- Coordinate appointment scheduling with healthcare providers to optimize daily workflow
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and supply management
Skills
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems ( ACCURO)
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Receptionist is highly desirable
- Experience working in a Medical Office or Healthcare Administrative role
- Familiarity with front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, and office management software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, staff, and providers
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in documentation

Pay: From $17.68 per hour
