Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various repair and maintenance tasks related to trailers. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and excellent customer service, ensuring that all trailers are safe and operational for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including inspections, adjustments, and replacements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair needs.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently as part of the repair process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all repairs meet industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or farm machinery preferred.
- Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the workday.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction while taking phone calls and assisting customers with parts requests.
- The ability take direction while working both unsupervised, and as part of a team.
- Experience in welding and/or fabrication (Asset)
- Knowledge of basic automotive wiring and 12V systems (Asset)
- Forklift certification (Asset)
No certifications required, but preference for individuals with RV or Automotive tickets.
We are a fast paced, multifaceted, company that is comprised of an agricultural retail store, trailer sales department, and a trailer repair shop. Knowledge of the rural lifestyle and livestock is an asset to understanding our customers needs and concerns.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
