We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing tax practice in Brantford, Ontario. The ideal candidate will work closely with our accounting team to maintain the books of account for various companies, assist with the preparation of financial statements, corporate tax returns, and personal tax filings. The candidate should be able to meet deadlines, work independently, perform full cycle bookkeeping duties, be familiar with payroll processing, and have knowledge of relevant accounting software.
Salary Range: $45, 000 – $60,000 (Based on Skill & Experience)
Duties:
· Maintain and correct books of accounts.
· Keep track of all payments, receivables, and revenues for multiple accounts.
· Record and post day to day financial transactions.
· Verify correctness of legers and trial balances.
· Prepare personal and corporate tax returns and forms.
· Process accounts payable/ receivable.
· Enter data, maintain records to create financial statements
· Create reports or budgets as required by manager.
· Reconciling of accounts.
· Processing and completing payroll
· Organizing accounting tasks and files as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Minimum 3-5 years Bookkeeping experience.
· Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
· Practical payroll experience.
· Understanding of accounting software (Specifically Quickbooks, Caseware, & Sage).
· Understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Data entry skills.
· Experience with spreadsheets.
· T1 Practical knowledge.
· Compilation Engagement.
· Filing Corporate taxes.
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
