Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. is looking for a dependable and hardworking Core Cutting Technician to support our mining exploration operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely cutting, processing, and handling drill core samples while maintaining accuracy and organization in a fast-paced exploration environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate core cutting and sample preparation equipment
- Cut and process drill core samples accurately and safely
- Label, organize, and store core samples
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow company safety procedures and site protocols
- Assist with moving and handling core boxes and materials
- Perform basic equipment maintenance as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in core cutting, mining, or construction is an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
