Dispatch/Dock
Job description:
Wainright Trucking is a family owned and operated asset-based carrier covering SW Ontario since 1989 with a terminal based in London.
Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Dispatcher is responsible for the day-to-day dispatch & dock with a keen focus on efficiently utilizing all resources including company owned, as well contracted Owner Operators.
Responsibilities, but not limited to.
· Executing yesterday’s plan today while planning for tomorrow’s workload
· Acknowledgement of requested load tenders
o Oversight on dispatch data entry, driver dispatch
· Participating in appointment scheduling with customers
· Customer service, de-escalating
· Participating in fleet management
· Forklift, loading and off loading as needed
· Operational on call (phone provided), during none scheduled shifts/hours
Skills and Experience.
· Current forklift certification
· Microsoft, Excel and Outlook
· Experience in TMS, transportation management system
o Currently using DTMS
· Dispatch, route planning.
· STRONG communication and problem solving, rapid informed decision making
· Leadership
· Flexibility, covering for vacations, this includes MIDNIGHT shift as the terminal is open 24/5

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
