Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Placing Foreman to oversee and coordinate concrete placement operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency in construction management software. This role involves supervising crews, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and managing project schedules to ensure timely completion of concrete work. The Concrete Placing Foreman will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality construction projects efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise concrete placement crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Coordinate daily activities related to concrete pouring, finishing, and curing processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Monitor project progress, pre-pour meetings, and communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify that concrete work meets industry standards and client requirements.
- Manage material deliveries, equipment usage, and site logistics to optimize workflow.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and conduct safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
- Supervise subcontractors and vendors as needed; ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on concrete placement or related fieldwork.
- Supervising experience on large-scale construction sites is required.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Ability to operate and maintain placing equipment (i.e. concrete vibrators, power screeds etc.)
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA certification are preferred; experience with multi-family, commercial projects is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to lead impactful projects within a dynamic construction environment while utilizing advanced management tools to ensure success.
