Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Caregiver fluent in Italian to provide personalized care and support within a private household. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, ensuring the well-being of the individual(s), and creating a nurturing environment. Duties
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences, including traditional Italian cuisine
- Engage in light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and organizing to maintain a clean living environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive atmosphere
- Support with activities involving children or individuals with disabilities, promoting their development and comfort
- Teach and encourage participation in recreational or educational activities as appropriate
- Accompany and assist during appointments or outings as needed
- Maintain clear communication with family members regarding care routines and progress
Requirements
- Fluent in Italian with excellent communication skills in both Italian and English
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, children, or elderly care preferred
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to cook and prepare meals, including traditional Italian dishes
- Capable of performing light cleaning and household chores efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, and provide emotional support
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently in a live-in capacity
- Prior experience in caregiving roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided if necessary
Pay: $170.00-$200.00 per day
