Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
Compensation: Starting from $40.00 - $42.00 an hour
Shift Structure: 6:30 am to 3:30 PM (Monday to Thursday) & 6:30 am – 12:30 pm on Fridays
Key Responsibilities:
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and suspension systems on trucks and trailers.
· Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
· Complete annual safety inspections and identify equipment requiring repair or replacement.
· Repair and replace brakes, wheel seals, bearings, lights, air systems, landing gear, suspension components, and other critical fleet equipment.
· Conduct engine, drivetrain, steering, and suspension repairs on heavy-duty trucks.
· Perform trailer repairs, including structural, body, and undercarriage components.
· Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify faults and recommend corrective actions.
· Other duties as required.
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Valid 310J/310T Red Seal Certification
· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working on trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment: mechanical, electrical, brakes, suspension systems etc.
· Valid G Driver’s License
· Able to perform physically demanding work: lifting, bending, working under vehicles, etc.
· Basic safety awareness and ability to follow safety procedures / regulations.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset
