Shop Hand / Parts Runner
About the role
We install polished concrete, epoxy, urethane, and self-leveling floor systems across commercial and industrial projects in Calgary and area. Our crews are only as fast as the material and equipment that shows up on site, and that's your job. You'll be running between suppliers, our shop, and active jobsites — picking up material, dropping off tooling, hauling equipment, and keeping the shop organized enough that the next crew can load out in ten minutes instead of an hour.
This is an entry-level position with a clear path into the field. Plenty of our installers and foremen started exactly here.
What you'll be doing
- Picking up material and supplies from local suppliers and delivering to jobsites across the city
- Loading and unloading resin kits, cementitious products, diamond tooling, and consumables — most product moves in 40–60 lb pails and bags
- Moving equipment between shop and site: grinders, shot blasters, vacuums, mixers, generators, hoses, extension cords
- Cleaning and basic upkeep of tools and equipment when they come off a job — resin doesn't wait, so gear gets cleaned the same day
- Keeping the shop organized: staging material for upcoming jobs, putting tooling back where it belongs, keeping the yard and bays clear
- Basic inventory: flagging when we're low, checking that what left the shop came back
- Occasional site support — helping a crew unload, mask off, or clean up when needed
What we need from you
- Valid Alberta Class 5 licence (non-GDL) and a clean driver's abstract — this is non-negotiable, you'll be in a company vehicle most of the day
- Comfortable driving a [cube van / one-ton / truck and trailer] in city traffic and on tight commercial sites
- Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly through a full shift and work on your feet
- Reliable and on time. Crews start early [6:00 AM]; if material is late, the whole day is late
- Ability to find an address, follow a will-call list, and communicate by phone or text without needing to be chased
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow site safety rules on active construction sites
Assets (not required — we'll train)
- WHMIS, CSTS-2020, or Fall Protection tickets
- Forklift or telehandler certification
- Any previous construction, warehouse, or delivery experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude for small equipment
Pay: $15.74-$22.00 per hour
