We are currently seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team and take ownership of multiple custom home projects across the GTA.
Job Description
As a Site Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating daily site operations for multiple ongoing custom home builds. You will work closely with contractors, trades, and the Project Manager to ensure timely and quality execution of all project activities. Your role will include overseeing health and safety compliance, maintaining site schedules, and managing site documentation.
Key Responsibilities.
Site Coordination & Supervision.
Oversee daily site activities across multiple projects and ensure efficient execution.
Coordinate trades and subcontractors to maintain smooth workflow and adherence to timelines.
Prepare, update, and manage activity sheets for all active projects.
Communicate with site contractors to resolve issues and ensure work meets design and specification standards.
Monitor material deliveries and ensure proper usage on-site.
Project Management Support.
Work under the Project Manager to support all trade coordination and execution plans.
Provide daily progress updates and flag potential risks or delays.
Ensure that all construction follows approved plans, specs, and city requirements.
Attend coordination meetings and provide technical input from site.
Health & Safety Management.
Enforce health and safety policies on all project sites.
Conduct site safety inspections and mitigate hazards.
Promote safe working habits among all trades.
Assist in implementing safety procedures and training.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a Canadian institution.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in residential custom home construction within the GTA.
Skills: Strong site management, multitasking, and communication abilities.
Project Load: Capable of handling multiple residential projects simultaneously.
Commitment: Dedicated to delivering high-quality work and maintaining client satisfaction and willing to work on Saturdays.
