As our Operations Manager, you are the backbone of our tour execution. You will oversee daily operations, manage partner relationships, and ensure every itinerary runs like clockwork. Your goal is simple: maximize efficiency, protect our margins, and ensure our travelers have the time of their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tour Orchestration: Oversee the end-to-end logistics of scheduled tours, including transportation, accommodation, local guides, and activities.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with global vendors (hotels, transport providers, local operators) to ensure competitive pricing and top-tier service.
- Quality Control: Continuously monitor and audit tour quality, gathering feedback from tour directors and guests to refine itineraries.
- Crisis Management: Act as the escalation point for real-time issues on the road (e.g., weather delays, cancellations) and implement swift, creative solutions.
- Budgeting & Financial Tracking: Manage operational budgets, track tour expenses, and find opportunities to optimize costs without sacrificing the guest experience.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and schedule a small team of coordinators and on-the-ground tour leads.
Who You Are
- An Experienced Logician: You have 3–5+ years of experience in operations management, ideally within the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
- A Natural Problem Solver: You don’t sweat when Plan A fails. You already have Plan B ready and Plan C in mind.
- A Master Negotiator: You know how to build win-win partnerships and advocate for the best value.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using booking engines, CRM software, project management tools (like Asana or Monday.com), and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Culturally Agile: You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable working with diverse, global teams and vendors.
