We’re looking for passionate and experienced Prep Cooks and Line Cooks who are skilled in working with woks and familiar with Thai or Asian cuisine to join our lively kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
For Both Roles:
***Cook with Wok: Prepare and cook Thai and Asian dishes using a wok, ensuring proper technique for stir-fries, curries, and other traditional dishes.
Prepare Ingredients: Wash, peel, chop, and measure ingredients for dishes, ensuring they meet restaurant standards for quality and presentation.
Follow Recipes: Ensure all dishes are made to specification and quality, from appetizers to entrees, following restaurant recipes and procedures.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep workstations clean and organized, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate: Work as part of a fast-paced kitchen team, ensuring timely and efficient meal preparation and delivery during peak service hours.
Monitor Inventory: Help manage kitchen inventory by keeping track of ingredients, notifying the kitchen manager when supplies are running low.
Help us create a delicious menu! We’re always looking for ideas for seasonal dishes, special treats, and daily specials. Think about what ingredients we have on hand and what our customers like.
As a Line Cook, you’ll be responsible for cooking and plating our dishes. Make sure they’re tasty, look great, and are made to order. You’ll also need to work quickly and efficiently when we’re busy. And last but not least, you’ll need to keep an eye on the food quality and make sure everything is up to par.
As a Prep Cook, you’ll help out with making sauces, stocks, dressings, and other prep work for the Line Cooks. You’ll also need to keep the prep area clean and organized, so everything we need is ready when we need it. And you’ll need to help us manage the ingredients so we don’t waste any and keep everything fresh.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need at least 1 years of experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, or in a similar kitchen role. You’ll also need to be comfortable and experienced with wok cooking, including stir-frying, sautéing, and deep-frying. And you’ll need to know a bit about Thai or Asian cuisine, especially Thai cooking.
