Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrator - Part Time for a temporary contract opportunity in Fort Erie, ON. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative, computer, and documentation skills, along with basic bookkeeping knowledge and an interest in supporting finance operations within a consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will work closely with the Finance team to document key finance processes and create clear training materials and step-by-step “how-to” guides. The goal is to build a practical manual that can be used to support continuity across important finance tasks such as monthly financials, T4s, invoices, and other department procedures.
This is a flexible part-time opportunity that may be a great fit for someone balancing school, family, or other commitments. The work environment is supportive and collaborative, with flexibility to complete documentation work remotely or from a provided workspace at the Fort Erie plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with the Finance team to gather detailed notes on current finance processes, procedures, and recurring tasks.
- Create clear, accurate training documents and step-by-step procedure manuals for finance department activities.
- Organize documentation so another team member could follow the instructions and complete the work if needed.
- Document processes related to monthly financials, T4s, invoices, office procedures, and other finance-related tasks.
- Use strong administrative and computer skills to format, edit, and maintain professional training materials.
- Assist with occasional courier or administrative support tasks, such as delivering invoices, mailing documents, or transporting office supplies.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $23 per hour.
- Contract duration: Approximately 3 months, potentially until the end of January.
- Schedule: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week.
- Flexible work arrangement based on meeting and documentation needs.
- Meetings with the Finance team may be 2 to 3 hours per session, a couple of days per week depending on topics.
- Documentation work may be completed remotely or from a provided workspace at the Fort Erie plant.
- Computer will be provided.
