Martushev Group is a diversified and growing organization operating across civil construction, forestry, and transportation sectors in Alberta and Western Canada. Our Whitecourt shop serves as a vital hub for maintaining our fleet of light-duty vehicles, pickups, service trucks, and support equipment. We're seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic who can take ownership of vehicle maintenance and repair while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview:
The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a range of company vehicles and light-duty equipment. This role is based out of our Whitecourt shop and is ideal for someone who is highly skilled, safety-conscious, and thrives in an independent yet collaborative work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on light-duty vehicles, pickups, and service trucks.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and software.
- Complete brake repairs, suspension work, fluid changes, and other scheduled services.
- Ensure compliance with CVIP, out-of-province inspections, and Martushev Group safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete required paperwork for all completed work.
- Collaborate with the parts team to order necessary components and materials.
- Perform occasional on-site or field service calls as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Certification (Red Seal Automotive Service Technician) preferred.
- 3–5 years of automotive repair experience, preferably in a fleet or commercial environment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 or higher an asset).
- CVIP license or ability to obtain (preferred).
- Able to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
