Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, heavy equipment operation, and basic automotive repair skills. Candidates with experience in forklift operation, freight handling, and heavy equipment are highly preferred. Duties
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris to designated locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of the truck before and after shifts, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and lights.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, loads, and mileage in compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or maintenance as needed to keep the truck in optimal condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws while operating heavy equipment on public roads or construction sites.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during operations.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating dump trucks and heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and load management.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
- Physical ability to load/unload materials manually when necessary and perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation needs while maintaining high safety standards across all activities.
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
