Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with parts inquiries, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of automotive parts and repair processes. Experience with dealership operations, POS systems, and retail sales is highly desirable. Bilingual abilities and familiarity with automotive maintenance software are a plus.
Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories through effective communication and product knowledge.
- Manage inventory levels, track part availability, and coordinate order fulfillment to meet customer needs efficiently.
- Utilize POS systems to process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and billing procedures.
- Maintain organized records of sales, returns, and exchanges while ensuring proper documentation.
- Provide technical support regarding parts compatibility, installation procedures, and maintenance recommendations.
- Collaborate with service technicians and sales teams to facilitate smooth operations and promote additional products or services.
- Keep up-to-date with new product lines, promotions, and industry trends through ongoing training.
- Ensure the showroom and parts storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing prompt assistance and scheduling appointments as needed.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new product launches to customers.
Experience
- Previous dealership experience or retail sales background preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, CMMS software, Microsoft Excel, and order fulfillment processes is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication, phone etiquette, negotiation, and sales management experience.
- Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or other languages) are a plus to better serve diverse customer needs.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and maintenance procedures enhances effectiveness in this role.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and documentation.
- Experience in cash handling, marketing strategies, and sales techniques will contribute to success as a Parts Advisor.

Pay: $17.20-$29.40 per hour
