Duties
- Lead and coordinate all flight training activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Develop comprehensive training programs tailored to individual student needs, emphasizing safety, skill development, and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and evaluate flight instructors, providing ongoing feedback to enhance instructional quality and consistency.
- Oversee scheduling of flight lessons, simulator sessions, and ground school classes to optimize resource utilization.
- Conduct regular assessments of student progress, documenting performance milestones and identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain meticulous records of training activities, certifications, and compliance documentation to ensure audit readiness.
- Promote a safety-first culture by conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety briefings for all training operations.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience as a certified flight instructor with a proven track record in pilot training and mentorship.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Analytical skills to assess student performance data, identify trends, and implement targeted improvements.
- Deep understanding of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Valid commercial pilot license (CPL) or airline transport pilot license (ATPL), with current flying privileges.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- Ideal candidates will be a Class 1 or Class 2 instructors.
- Exceptions can be made for those candidates who possess a Class 3 instructor rating with supervisory experience and a minimum 1000 hrs of experience with majority coming as an instructor.
- No history of accidents or incidents.
- Additional languages will be an asset.
Interested candidates should be prepared to participate in a competitive selection process. Participants will have two interviews, which will be conducted with Chief Flight Instructor and then the Operations Manager. Proof of licencing, medical and recency will be required.
