Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential. The position offers opportunities for growth within the hospitality industry and the chance to develop valuable skills in food handling, upselling, and guest relations.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering functions, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling procedures
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
- Maintain a clean dining environment by clearing tables, resetting for new guests, and ensuring sanitation compliance
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or concerns to ensure a positive experience
- Follow all restaurant policies regarding hospitality, serving procedures, and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
Pay: $17.20-$18.50 per hour
