The Farmer's Daughter is a specialty cheese shop, bistro and wine bar in the heart of Sidney, BC! We are looking for a strong candidate with serving experience to join our small team!
This is a great position for someone who is passionate about wine and cheese, and provides world-class customer service.
Must be able to work 3-4 days a week and on Sundays on a consistent basis.
$18.00 - $19.00/ hr + tips
Responsibilities include:
- Make guests feel welcome and accommodated
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Be a team player with ability to multi-task without getting flustered
- Ensuring guest satisfaction and taking action to correct problems when necessary
- Serving wine, cheese and small plates in a casual dining environment
- Full knowledge of extensive wine list with the ability to describe and recommend wines to guests
- Full knowledge of all menu items– including garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Ability to perform proper wine service
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Help in food preparation when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment (as a server)
- Wine knowledge is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational habits
