Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats of all breeds.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately during the grooming process to minimize stress.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or moving equipment.
- Proficiency in various grooming techniques and familiarity with different breeds’ grooming needs is preferred.
