Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, and blueprints, as well as the ability to work safely and efficiently in fast-paced environments. The successful applicant will bring hands-on expertise in commercial light industrial electrical systems, contributing to the successful completion of renovation, construction, and maintenance projects.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power tools, and hand tools across industrial settings.
- Work on construction sites and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and electrical codes.
- Perform wiring, conduit installation, panel setups, and system upgrades as required.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and troubleshooting techniques; repair or replace faulty components efficiently.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians, contractors, and trade teams to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- 309A Electrician License & active member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario
- Safety Courses to include: Working at Heights/Elevated Work Platform/Worker Health & Safety Awareness/WHMIS
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with strong knowledge of electrical systems in renovation or construction environments.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, low voltage wiring.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and electrical codes.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings including renovation sites or new construction projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
