Escape Trailer is looking for a Fiberglass Technician to join our growing team. This position involves Multiple Fiberglass Functions. One should be comfortable with body work repairs, sanding, buffing, polishing and possess great attention to detail. We are a customer focused company and our trailers are manufactured from start to finish at our warehouses located in Chilliwack, BC.
As a Fiberglass Technician, your role includes:
- Collaborating with fellow Team members, Supervisors, and Quality Control
- Polishing, sanding, buffing, laying up and rolling fiberglass
- Inspecting and performing repairs including imperfections, fractures and holes, spraying Gelcoat
- Use various tools: Power tools- cutting, sanding, grinding and polishing: Hand tools- tape measures (down to the 16th)
- Work independently on assigned projects with time restraints in mind
- Problem solving with the ability to multitask & prioritize work
- Following company standard requirements on safety and quality protocols
Preferred Skills/Requirements:
- Comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, gloves or face respirators (long periods)
- Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Lift up to 50lbs
- High School Diploma
- Technical course will be considered an asset
- Fluent in English
