We are seeking a reliable and experienced Full-Time Truck Driver (Day Shift) to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting moulds, dies, materials, and equipment to various locations. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time across Ontario and the United States.
Duties:
- Operate commercial vehicles, including stake trucks, flatbeds, and pickup trucks, to transport goods and materials
- Perform local, regional, and cross-border (U.S.) deliveries
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Secure loads using chains, straps, clamps, and blocking materials
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while driving and operating equipment
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles
- Plan routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
- Communicate with the Manufacturing Manager and Shipping team to coordinate deliveries
- Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, bills of lading, and customs documentation
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked and mileage
- Assist with general shop duties, packing, and material handling when required
Requirements:
- Valid DZ Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience
- Experience with Canada–U.S. cross-border deliveries preferred
- Proficient in operating forklifts and overhead cranes
- Knowledge of vehicle inspection and basic maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of loading/unloading and securing heavy materials
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift (Monday to Friday)
- Minimum 40 hours per week
- Overtime may be required based on business needs
