Markham Dental is seeking an exceptional Treatment Coordinator who is passionate about helping patients move forward with treatment that improves their health, confidence, and quality of life.
This is not a traditional administrative position.
We are looking for a highly organized, confident, and results-driven individual who can build trust with patients, communicate treatment plans clearly, and help patients make informed decisions regarding their dental care.
The successful candidate will play a key role in patient education, treatment acceptance, scheduling, financing coordination, and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities
Treatment Acceptance & Case Presentation
- Present treatment plans with confidence and professionalism.
- Explain recommended treatment in a clear and patient-friendly manner.
- Discuss benefits, risks, timelines, and financial options.
- Follow up consistently with unscheduled treatment.
- Track and manage outstanding treatment opportunities.
- Help patients overcome barriers to care through education and financing solutions.
- Collaborate closely with dentists and hygienists to reinforce treatment recommendations.
Patient Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships and trust with patients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients considering treatment.
- Ensure every patient feels informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their journey.
- Deliver a world-class patient experience from consultation through completion.
Financial Coordination
- Present treatment estimates and financial arrangements.
- Coordinate third-party financing programs.
- Explain insurance benefits and maximize patient understanding of coverage.
- Collect deposits and secure treatment commitments.
Scheduling & Practice Growth
- Schedule treatment efficiently to maximize chair utilization.
- Fill open chair time proactively.
- Coordinate specialist and multidisciplinary appointments.
- Maintain strong communication with the clinical team regarding scheduled treatment.
Reporting & KPI Management
- Monitor treatment acceptance rates.
- Track unscheduled treatment value.
- Generate weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient conversion and scheduling efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required
- Minimum 5 years of dental experience.
- Previous experience as a Treatment Coordinator, Dental Administrator, Office Manager, or Dental Assistant.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and treatment planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable discussing finances and payment options.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred
- Experience presenting comprehensive treatment plans.
- Experience with Invisalign, implants, cosmetic dentistry, Botox, TMJ therapy, Airway and Sleep dentistry, or specialty procedures.
- Experience with dental practice software.
- Strong Knowledge of insurance and financing programs.
