Glass Polishing / CNC Operators / Cutting Operators (NO STUDENTS)
Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Glass Polishing, CNC, and Cutting Operators to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating advanced machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to produce high-quality glass components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and quality control processes. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision manufacturing and craftsmanship. Duties
- Operate CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other automated equipment to cut, shape, and polish glass products.
- Program and troubleshoot CNC machines using Fanuc controls and other programmable logic controllers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Set up and calibrate machinery for production runs, ensuring proper tooling and safety procedures.
- Perform glass polishing tasks to achieve desired surface finishes according to specifications.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for quality inspection and measurement accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with packaging finished products for shipment while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Operate forklift as needed for material handling within the warehouse or production area.
- Support assembly processes when required, including welding or mechanical assembly. Qualifications
- Proven experience with CNC programming and operation; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes such as CNC milling, CNC lathe work, press brake operations, and welding.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings using CAD software like SolidWorks.
- Experience with manufacturing tools including hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills for measurements.
- Warehouse experience preferred; familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure product standards are met.
- Basic understanding of machining principles, assembly techniques, and packaging processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Prior experience in glass manufacturing or related industries is advantageous but not mandatory.
