We are currently recruiting for the position of Permanent Full-Time Level 2 Personal Lines Insurance Broker at our Slocan Park location.

This is a diverse role in a small office. The candidate must exhibit both excellent teamwork and independence to be successful in this role.
The role is a hybrid of Automobile and Personal Lines Insurance, and includes Driver's Licensing Services.
The majority of time spent in this role will focus on Automobile and Driver's Licensing products and service; However, the candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a moderate renewal book of various personal lines insurance products, as well as new sales and servicing of these products.
The candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to attend our Castlegar branch for training and other duties on an occasional basis, with mileage reimbursement provided (34km / 25 minute drive)
In joining either branch the candidate will have joined the HG Insurance family and have opportunities to transfer between locations on any new job postings.

Required skills, abilities and qualifications include:

Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Mandatory: Level II General Insurance Agent License through the Insurance Council of BC
Two years of insurance industry work experience
Completion of ICBC Policy Centre Essentials Programs for Brokers
The ability to work in a team environment demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A self-motivated and proactive problem solver who can work efficiently to resolve client issues
Dedication to continual learning and ability to use provided tools to independently grow knowledge, skills and abilities
An educational approach to the sale and servicing of insurance products
Prior ICBC Driver's Licensing (Motor Vehicle) Services training and experience an asset
Class 5 Driver's licence and reliable transportation

Hourly wages from $35.68
Position is Tuesday - Saturday, 36 hours weekly (Tues-Thurs: 8:45am - 5:15pm, Fri: 8:45am - 5:45pm, Sat: 8:45am - 2:15pm)
All Provincial and Federal Statutory Holidays off (closed Sat - Mon on all long weekends)
3 weeks paid vacation (pro-rated in calendar year one), 4 weeks paid vacation in calendar year two
