Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tires while providing excellent customer service. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is a plus, but we welcome candidates eager to develop their skills in automotive repair and maintenance.
Duties
- Remove and replace tires using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper inflation
- Perform wheel balancing and alignment services as needed
- Assist customers with tire selection and sales, providing knowledgeable recommendations
- Conduct routine maintenance on tire equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle’s tire needs and service options
- Assist with other automotive repair tasks as required, supporting overall shop operations
Requirements
- Prior dealership or mechanic experience preferred but not required; mechanical knowledge is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Basic understanding of automotive maintenance and repair procedures
- Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the role
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
