Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Framer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with framing, concrete forming, and various carpentry tasks on commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities
- Assist with framing structures according to blueprints and schematics
- Set up and dismantle concrete forms for pouring foundations and slabs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform siding installation and restoration work as needed
- Support carpentry tasks including wood framing, roofing, and finishing
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment to support construction activities
- Assist with concrete finishing tasks to ensure smooth surfaces
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and woodworking techniques
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
- Familiarity with siding installation, restoration work, and welding is a plus
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of manual labor
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
