Summary
Rick’s Good Eats is looking for dedicated and hardworking team members to join our restaurant operations team in Prep Cook, Line Cook, and Cashier roles. Successful candidates will play a key role in delivering exceptional food and customer experiences while supporting the fast-paced day-to-day operations of the restaurant. Ideal applicants are organized, reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about food and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep tasks according to kitchen standards
- Follow prep lists, recipes, and station setup procedures accurately and efficiently
- Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to Rick’s Good Eats quality standards
- Ensure food is plated and presented consistently during service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with opening and closing duties for both kitchen and front-of-house operations
- Label, date, and properly store all food items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, prep areas, storage areas, dining areas, and equipment
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking deliveries and inventory
- Minimize food waste and report any quality or inventory concerns
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
- Take customer orders accurately using the POS system
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions responsibly
- Answer menu questions and provide food recommendations when needed
- Assist with packaging takeout and delivery orders
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Support catering and event preparation as needed
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain efficient daily operations and a positive guest experience
Requirements
- Previous restaurant, kitchen, or customer service experience preferred
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food safety procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, is an asset
