Position Overview
The Project Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the coordination, scheduling, and successful execution of countertop installation projects from template through final installation and service completion.
This role leads the day-to-day operations of the Project Management Department, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, accurately, on schedule, and to the company’s quality standards. The Project Management Supervisor will oversee project coordination staff, support workflow management between departments, and serve as a key point of contact for clients, builders, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-focused, and experienced in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced construction or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Department & Team Leadership
- Supervise and support the Project Management / Job Coordination team.
- Assist with training, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of department staff.
- Help establish and maintain department procedures, workflows, and accountability standards.
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Project Coordination & Oversight
- Oversee all phases of countertop projects from Templating through Fabrication & Installation, including final completion, and deficiency resolution.
- Ensure all project details, materials, measurements, approvals, and site requirements are accurate and complete before production and installation.
- Monitor project timelines and proactively address scheduling conflicts, delays, or operational challenges.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, builders, and internal departments to ensure project readiness and successful execution.
Scheduling & Workflow Management
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and installation timelines.
- Work closely with Material Management, Templating, Technical Services, Production, Installation, and Service departments to ensure efficient workflow and labour planning.
- Assist in balancing workload capacity and prioritizing projects based on deadlines and operational requirements.
- Help improve scheduling systems and operational processes to maximize efficiency and reduce delays.
Client & Builder Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, builders, contractors, and designers throughout project execution.
- Provide regular updates regarding project status, timelines, and scheduling changes.
- Address client concerns, deficiencies, and service-related issues professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through strong communication and proactive problem-solving.
Quality Control & Issue Resolution
- Review project documentation, installation reports, and site photos to ensure company quality standards are met.
- Coordinate corrective actions and deficiency resolutions when required.
- Ensure projects comply with company procedures, safety requirements, and installation standards.
- Work with field and production teams to identify recurring issues and implement process improvements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, work orders, change orders, purchase orders, and scheduling updates.
- Track project progress, deficiencies, service calls, and completion status.
- Assist in preparing departmental reports and operational performance tracking.
- Support development and monitoring of department KPIs and workflow metrics.
Interdepartmental Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Technical Services, Material Management, Production and Installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Help maintain strong communication and accountability between departments.
- Participate in operational planning meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination, scheduling, operations, or project management within construction, manufacturing, cabinetry, millwork, countertops, or related industries.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and software.
- Experience with AutoCAD, ERP systems, or project management software is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of solid surface materials, fabrication, and installation processes is considered a strong asset.
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
