Seeking a clinically oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician who is passionate about patient care, expanded scope practice, and working in a modern, customer-focused pharmacy within a close-knit community.
We are looking for an individual who is forward-thinking, enjoys learning, and values working collaboratively within an innovative pharmacy practice utilizing a new paperless computer system.

Position Overview
The Registered Pharmacy Technician will play an integral role in supporting dispensary workflow, technical accuracy, patient safety, and clinical pharmacy services. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
This position is initially part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as the pharmacy grows.
ResponsibilitiesCore Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Patient prescription order entry
- Third-party adjudication
- Drug packaging and product verification
- Drug inventory maintenance and control
- Front shop medication and product inventory maintenance
- Supporting workflow efficiency within a modern paperless pharmacy environment
- Providing professional and compassionate customer service
Expanded Scope & Clinical Duties
- Receive, transcribe, enter, and prepare new and refill prescriptions
- Perform final technical checks and release prescriptions to patients
- Order, receive, manage, and perform technical checks for controlled substances in accordance with regulatory standards
- Prepare compounded and repackaged medications
- Oversee compounding workflow
- Transfer prescriptions to and from other pharmacies
- Assist with minor ailment services and MedsCheck documentation
- With appropriate training and authorization, administer select injections and vaccinations
- Administer a wide range of vaccines by injection following completion of required Ontario College of Pharmacists approved training
- Perform point-of-care testing, including dermal puncture procedures for chronic disease monitoring such as blood glucose, lipid screening, and INR testing
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices including blood glucose monitors, inhalers, and other patient care devices
- Assist pharmacists in supporting chronic disease management and patient education initiatives
- Participate in clinical services that support improved patient outcomes and continuity of care
Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Pharmacy Technician students and recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Experience in community pharmacy practice preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy workflow and professional standards
- Comfortable learning and working with technology and paperless systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent technical accuracy
- Customer service focused with a compassionate and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Work Location
- Located just 10 minutes from Belle River, Essex , Cottam and Kingsville and approximately 20 minutes from Windsor and Tecumseh, our pharmacy offers an opportunity to practice in a growing, community-focused healthcare environment.
Pay: $22.56-$35.00 per hour
