Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified A/B/D or C Licensed Driver to join our team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles, primarily to water planted trees. Pulling and rolling hoses, lifting rolls of wet hose can be very physical. You may also find yourself delivering plant material or other supplies to sites. Being able to lift 50 pounds and be generally fit is critical. While we anticipate a full season of watering it is worth mentioning that if we do get a run of wet weather you may find yourself performing other tasks within your capacity to get a full work week.
Duties
- Safely operate licensed commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations
- Load and unload cargo, including heavy items, using appropriate equipment such as skidsteers or tractors as necessary
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met
- Communicate effectively with managers and crew leads to coordinate delivery schedules
- Assist with activities to support planting and maintenance activities
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
Requirements
- Valid A/B/D or C driver’s license with appropriate endorsements (Air Brake) for commercial driving
- Proven experience in commercial driving, or related fields
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of plant material and other supplies
- Equipment operation experience is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members
- Landscape and/or tree planting experience is preferred but not necessary. We encourage you to explore your inner tree lover
- Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and compliance with transportation regulations
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
