Summary
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman/woman Electrician with marine experience or strong industrial background to join our team in Port Alberni. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional industrial electrical solutions within the marine and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in marine and industrial environments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools.
- Work with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Support renovation projects as needed.
- Document work performed and report on project progress.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification (required)
- Marine experience preferred; industrial or shipyard experience considered an asset
- Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, control systems, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a physically demanding shipyard environment

Eligibility
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- CME does not provide relocation or visa sponsorship.
- Able to reliably commute to Port Alberni.
