Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Cleaning Technician to join our team at Superior Steam & Vac. We are currently working on a contract at the Cowichan District Hospital in Duncan, BC . In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of commercial HVAC systems and related facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial work, facilities maintenance, and using various tools to ensure optimal system performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of HVAC units, ducts, vents, and associated components using appropriate tools and techniques
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized cleaning equipment to disassemble, clean, and reassemble HVAC parts
- Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and surrounding areas
- Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with safety standards and industry regulations
- Assist with general custodial duties within the facility to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Manage time effectively to complete scheduled tasks within designated timeframes
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding work progress and any issues encountered
- Heavy lifting of equipment or materials as required during cleaning or maintenance tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or facilities maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment used in HVAC system maintenance
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as part of routine duties
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Previous experience with custodial or facilities maintenance is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
