Position
Part-Time Guitar Instructor
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one private guitar lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach fundamental technique, repertoire, music theory, and sight-reading
- Prepare students for RCM examinations, recitals, and performances when applicable
- Develop structured lesson plans using recognized academic teaching methods
- Create a motivating, engaging, and professional learning environment for students
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Guitar Performance or related field) is required
- RCM certification or experience preparing students for RCM exams is preferred
- Strong knowledge of academic guitar pedagogy and established teaching methods
- Ability to teach children, teenagers, and adults
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
