Family of 6 located in Kingston's east end seeking a caring, engaging, organized, and reliable full time nanny for our 4 children 3 and under. We are looking for a full-time Nanny to help in our home with our children 3, 2, 2 and 6 months. We are a busy household that needs someone with a positive demeanor who can maintain a calm presence amid chaotic toddlers.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our family as our littles grow into bigger kids. Having an interest in child psychology and emotion regulation for toddlers would be an incredible asset.
Experience with children and babies is essential in this role. The ability to manage multiple children through transitions with their varying emotions is critical to success in this position.
Expectations for the role
- Caring for children during various activities in and out of our home
- Create positive relationships with our children ensuring their safety and care for emotional wellbeing while maintaining professional boundaries
- Adhere to a gentle not permissive approach with the children
- Follow a schedule closely and be able to make suitable decisions around scheduling disruptions if needed
- Prepare and set up age appropriate and engaging activities
- Light house keeping and laundry for the entire family
- Preparation of snacks and diaper bags for activities outside of the home
- Work respectfully and seamlessly with other household staff
Expectations from the candidate
- Previous experience as a nanny with large families and/ or experience with multiples
- Knowledge of children's songs and games
- Interest in creating alternative healthy meals for toddlers
- Strength in organization and managing multiple tasks at once with precision and care
- Ability to organize quick activities and learning moments
- Interest in being a collaborative team player
- Seeking a stable long term position with one family
Compensation and Benefits
- 40 hours a week at agreed upon wage paid bi-weekly
- Two weeks paid vacation plus statutory holidays
