Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate French Pastry Chef with extensive knowledge in lamination and French pastries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of baking techniques, a creative flair for developing new recipes and to manage and inspire a team of bakers. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of baked goods, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, and meeting production targets. in compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality viennoiseries.
- Develop and test new recipes to expand the bakery's product offerings with manager's approval.
- Manage and train a team of bakers, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients..
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of baking equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative and innovative mindset for developing new recipes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to lift heavy bags of flour and other baking supplies.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in using baking equipment and tools.
