Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.
An experience in asphalt is preferred but not required.
This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery to support construction, and material handling projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, possess a strong safety mindset, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Other duties included but not limited to raking, tamping, and traffic control.
Prior experience with spreader/paver, roller and skidsteer are highly desirable.

Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, rollers, pavers to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and material movement as needed for various projects
- Support automotive repair tasks related to heavy equipment when necessary
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on site
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, pavers, rollers, loaders, or similar machinery
- Knowledge of freight handling and logistics operations
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs related to heavy equipment maintenance
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent is a plus
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour
