Position description:
Mechanical Technician/Designer
The mechanical technician/designer will work on the development of new and already existing products. His / her tasks will consist of the mechanical design, documentation, selection of standard components, testing, and assembly of products. The mechanical designer will also have to interact with subcontractors, such as machinists and suppliers for standard components and travel to carry out emergency equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
Required skills:
Technical expertise:
- DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology
- 2 years of AutoCAD experience | Advanced features
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Aptitude for the development of new products
- Good knowledge of machining processes
- Basic knowledge of industrial electrical circuits
Knowledge and abilities
- Important - Good knowledge of computer controlled equipment
- Asset - Knowledge of industrial electrical circuits
- Essential - Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD
General criteria:
- Team player
- Able to communicate in both English & French
- Able to travel both in Canada and overseas
