Clad-Tech is an architectural metal and cladding company fabricating and installing custom panels, flashings, and enclosures for commercial buildings.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate and assemble architectural sheet metal products in our shop and, when required, support installation crews in the field. This role combines layout, forming, and assembly of light-gauge metal to exacting architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay out, cut, form, and assemble architectural sheet metal panels, flashings, and trims
- Operate shears, brakes, rolls, notchers, and seamers
- Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and architectural details
- Fabricate to tight tolerances ensuring proper fit, finish, and weather-tightness
- Assist with field measurements and installation support as needed
- Handle and protect finished/coated material to avoid scratches and damage
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
Qualifications
- Sheet Metal Worker (308A) Certificate of Qualification or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of architectural or HVAC sheet metal fabrication experience
- Ability to read shop drawings and architectural details
- Proficiency with brakes, shears, and forming equipment
- Strong attention to finish quality on coated/prefinished materials
- Comfortable working in shop and occasional field environments
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Pay: $25.00 to $33.00 per hour
Work Location: In person - Hamilton, ON, with occasional field support
